Terror suspect who was arrested after 22 guns and 565 rounds of ammunition were recovered in his Kilimani office, was Friday released on Sh300,000 cash bail.
The businessman, Mr. Ken Wycliffe Lugwili was arraigned at the Kahawa Law Courts in Kiambu.
The court was informed that he is ailing and on medication . The prosecution had earlier sought to detain him for five days to allow for the completion of investigations into the weighty issue.
But the presiding Chief Magistrate Diana Mochache ruled on Friday that the prosecution had not demonstrated how the accused would interfere with forensic investigations.
The magistrate directed that the accused to always avail himself to the investigating officers not more than twice a week.
Lugwili who was arrested by the anti-terror police unit on Wednesday appeared before the court on Thursday but did not face any charges after the prosecution side filed a miscellaneous application seeking to detain him for five days to complete investigations.

The recovery was made at an office along Wood Avenue in Kilimani area, Nairobi where a distressed man had had his valuables put on auction for failing to pay the rent.
Lugwili’s lawyers Simon Mburu and Anthony Kogo asked for his release on cash bail, arguing he is not a flight risk, has cooperated with the authorities and is in need of medical attention as he suffers from diabetes and hypertension.
The case will be mentioned on July 7.
