1.Shelmith Kiprono : the house help was accused of stealing Ksh104 million from her employer in Lang’ata, Nairobi and was arraigned in the Kibera Law Courts on Monday, May 30, 2022.
The maid, Jerop was charged alongside Caleb Nagomere Rasto ,Agaziva Brain Kenneth Jackline Minayo Kinzi and Eunice Akinyi with conspiracy to commit a felony.
The maid, also known as Jerop, was accused of stealing Ksh4 million, $806,000 in cash and jewellery worth Ksh4 million from Samar Al-Kindy’s house.
According to police officers familiar with the matter, the four committed the crime on May 5,2022 and were apprehended on May 13, 2022.
Police say they managed to recover Ksh2.5 million from her.

Ruth Kageha and Violet Aluse are alleged to have made away with three golden rings and a black bag reportedly containing $280,000, amounting to Sh32.7 million
The duo allegedly committed the crime between April 15 and April 21 at Tipuwama Apartments in Karen.Out of the colossal sum, only Sh3 million was recovered, Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi was told by State Prosecutor James Machira.
Machira told the court that the suspects were arrested in Bungoma and Nairobi counties, after a seven-day search.
The two suspects pleaded not guilty and were released on a Sh5 million cash bail each.
- Miriam Mwelu Muinde: The 45-year-old house help is alleged to have fled with Ksh.4 million cash and jewellery worth about Ksh.500,000 from her employer’s house in Karen, Nairobi.
A police report on the incident indicated that the Ksh.4 million had been placed on their wardrobe by the husband.
When police officers visited the home, there was no sign of a break-in, putting Mwelu – who had been left in the house alone as the main suspect.
