Musician Kevin Kioko alias Bahati on Wednesday revealed that he was offered Ksh. 50 million to withdraw from the Mathare MP race.

Speaking to Willy M’tuva on Mambo Mseto, said that his opponents have been trying to convince him to step down from the Mathare race.
“I was told I will be given a job. But I am not looking for a job, I am earning a living from my music,”

People have come with offers they want to pay me to step down. They have offered me millions, up to Ksh.50 million. They know that
when they get to the office they will regain the money,” Bahati said.
His statement comes barely a day after the Azimio Coalition through ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna announced that Anthony Oluoch was their preferred candidate to contest for the Mathare MP seat.

Sifuna said that he will talk to Bahati to step down and be considered for an appointment in the Azimio government.
